Youth Engagement Specialist - Evenings

Job Summary
Provide face-to-face support and intervention in multiple settings, including the Youth Engagement Center, Safe Haven, or Rights of Passage. Maintain actual, intentional contact with every assigned youth throughout each shift while ensuring their safety and the security of buildings and property. Engage youth in educational, vocational, and life-skill programming, and assist in intakes, discharges, and basic needs. Conduct trauma-informed services to support successful outcomes, manage difficult youth during crises, and develop collaborative relationships with community partners. Perform documentation for youth files and ETO reporting, and participate in team meetings, shift changes, and training activities. Work flexible evening hours from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, including weekends and holidays, while adhering to agency policies and Child Protection Procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- Basic understanding of adolescent development and behaviors
- Ability to relate to at-risk youth

Desired Qualifications
