Job Summary
Coordinate and maintain department logistics including calendars, registrations, and rosters. Supervise and support young people during events, gatherings, and programs. Support communications across the department between youth, families, faculty, and staff. Assist with event setup, material gathering, and space preparation. Otherwise assist Youth Department staff and faculty in their work with young people. This role serves 50% behind-the-scenes and 50% front-facing. The position requires lifting 30-40 lbs and familiarity with Jewish communal life. Reports to the Director of Youth Engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Can lift 30-40 lbs
- Have spent some years working in education and/or youthwork spaces (camp, school, youth group)
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with young people
- Understand Jewish communal life (culture, education, holiday/lifecycle)
- Work comfortably with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Saturday mornings, 8:30am - 12:00pm (in-person)
- Some Tuesday evenings, 6:30pm - 9:00pm (in-person)
- Occasional other weeknights and weekend evenings (in-person)
- Administrative hours to be determined (in-person to start)
- Part-Time, Year-Round, Non-Exempt
- $20 - $25 / hour, based on experience
