Job Summary
Facilitate prevention education workshops in schools and the Youth Services Center, including weekly sessions with incarcerated youth, using developmentally appropriate content on healthy relationships, consent, boundaries, communication, and conflict resolution. Provide individual check-ins and supportive engagement with youth, respond to disclosures using trauma-informed practices, and connect youth to CORA services. Collaborate with school staff, probation personnel, and community partners to support youth engagement and program implementation. Participate in outreach activities and community education; support parent and caregiver workshops; contribute to program evaluation through data collection and feedback; maintain confidential documentation and comply with agency policies. Engage in ongoing professional development and attend team meetings, trainings, and other required organizational activities. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a closely related field; or equivalent experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Minimum one year of experience working with youth providing direct services in a school or alike setting, youth engagement or curriculum development
- Work with at-risk and/or justice-involved populations is strongly preferred
- Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
- Completion of CORA’s 40-hour Domestic Violence Training Program required upon hire if not already completed
