Job Summary
Youth Direct Service Provider provides direct support and services to youth in educational, mental health, social services, or community settings. Responsibilities include facilitating individual and group activities, counseling and guidance, developing and carrying out treatment plans, transporting and supervising youth to activities, maintaining records, ensuring safety and confidentiality, supporting homework and life skills, and collaborating with families and professionals to promote emotional, physical, and social development. Skills emphasized include strong communication, teamwork, crisis management, empathy, patience, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Some positions may require a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field
- First Aid and CPR certification
- 21 hours Pre-Service training
- Experience working with youth in a group setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Crisis management and conflict resolution abilities
