Job Summary
A two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role for married couples at Milton Hershey School. The role involves residing in on-campus student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and structured guidance to a group of about 813 students; duties include managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and facilitating daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The position transitions from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent, with a strong emphasis on safety, integrity, and professionalism within a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and being legally married for at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older. Relocation assistance is provided, and the role includes comprehensive benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications

- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
