Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents on a campus housing group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, and conducting daily devotions with Chapel attendance. The position progresses from initial flexible housing assignments to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; benefits include salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, be age 27+, and complete separate applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
