Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside on campus in student homes, providing supervision, mentorship, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, medications, transportation to activities, planning devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and paid training. Requires a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a legally married two-year relationship between spouses who are each at least 27 years old. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required and housing is included. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
