Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist for married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental and recreational programs, and leading daily devotions and chapel attendance. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA with on-campus housing and paid training, plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid driver’s license, and experience working with youth. Must adhere to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and no alcohol on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- U.S. residency or eligibility to work in the United States
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA (and Boise, ID as applicable)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol while on duty
