Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role for Milton Hershey School: married couple reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their home. Relocation assistance is provided; comprehensive benefits and paid training are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driverfers license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Experience working with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Comfort leading students in devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor youth
