Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide mentorship, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed home while ensuring a structured, family-like environment for student success.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years married with both spouses completing individual applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading devotions and chapel services
- Two-person role capable of shared responsibilities
- Relocation to Hershey, PA included in role
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
