Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist (two-person, married-couple role) residing on campus in Hershey, PA to supervise and mentor 8–13 students in a student home; duties include daily supervision, student scheduling, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from Flex Houseparent to Placed Houseparent. Includes relocation with on-campus housing, comprehensive benefits, and paid training; requires legally married couples age 27+, with both spouses applying separately.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
Additional Requirements
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Two-person role for couples; both spouses must apply individually
