Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist (Flex Houseparents) for a two-person married-couple team on a full-time, live-in basis at Milton Hershey School. Reside in an on-campus student home, supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive and plan activities, lead daily devotions, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initially support multiple homes with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, then transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance. Requires both spouses to apply, be legally married for at least two years, and meet age and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status for couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
