Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist couples reside on campus as Full-time Flex Houseparents, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students in a on-campus home. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Requires two-person, married-couple placement, on-site housing, and relocation support; benefits include comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and housing/utilities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
