Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist roles for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside on-campus in student homes, provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, manage daily routines, administer medications, transport students to activities, lead devotions and Chapel attendance, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent in the same home. Relocation assistance provided; includes comprehensive benefits and paid training. Requires two-person, fully married-couple eligibility with both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lead religious activities in a Judeo-Christian context, and capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
