Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live on-campus at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role over time. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation to Hershey, PA required and full-time benefits and relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Two-spouse longevity: married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
