Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes as Full-time Flex Houseparents, providing daily supervision, mentorship, oversight of routines and schedules, medication administration, transportation of students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, chapel attendance, budgeting, and household reporting. Starting with a nine-on/three-off schedule and eventual placement as a Houseparent in the same student home, with relocation to Hershey, PA. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and two-year marriage with both spouses aged 27 or older; living on campus with up to 13 students per home, two-person occupancy, and a strict campus conduct policy (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol). Both spouses must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for legally married couples

- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
