Job Summary
Two-person role for married couples as Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. They reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring roughly 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The position follows a nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off, with a pathway to Placed Houseparent where the same group of students remains in their own home. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a two-spouse, fully committed arrangement with relocation benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
