Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing supervision, mentorship, routine management, medication administration, transportation for activities, and developmentally-focused activities to a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include coordinating daily routines and schedules, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and supporting students’ academic, emotional, and social growth. The role progresses from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a placed houseparent assignment with the same student group, with comprehensive benefits and relocation support. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
