Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. They follow a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule initially, with eventual placement as a steady Houseparent in the same student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism; ability to supervise a group of 8–13 students
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and work on-campus housing
- Ability to lead daily devotions and accompany students to chapel
