Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents living on campus in student homes; responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 813 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. After initial placement, couples will transition to a Placed Houseparent role with ongoing on-site residence and supervision. Benefits include a base salary of $46,917 per person (approximately $180,000 total per couple with housing, meals on duty, utilities, and more), comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid time off, and extensive training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-year married relationship minimum (two spouses)
- Ages 27 or older for both spouses
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Proselytizing prohibited during activities
