Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, located in Hershey, PA, are a two-person, married-couple live-in role residing in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students and provide care, mentorship, and guidance. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, with an initial nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule and eventual placement with the same student group. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and chapel
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations (fish and one dog)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Desire to work with youth
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Completed employment applications by both spouses
