Job Summary
Two-spouse, full-time Flex Houseparents live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of about 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same student home. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917) with total compensation around $180,000 per couple, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Required qualifications include experience with youth, being married for at least two years, both spouses aged 27 or older, high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
