Job Summary
Provide daily supervision and mentorship for 8–13 students residing in on-campus homes, managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities and lead daily devotions while planning recreational engagements. Oversee budgeting and household reporting for the student group. The role involves a nine-day-on, three-day-off schedule, transitioning eventually to a Placed Houseparent position with the same students. Both spouses must be married for at least two years, age 27 or older, and hold a valid U.S. driver's license. Milton Hershey School offers a salary of $46,917 per person, including free housing, meals, and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
