Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School located on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and accompany students to Sunday Chapel. Responsibilities also include overseeing household routines, budgeting, and housing reporting, with a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and eventual placement as a permanent Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of marriage
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Integrity and professionalism in role modeling for students
