Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on-campus in Cedar Falls, IA, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions including Sunday Chapel. They will oversee budgeting and household reporting, with an initial schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided; compensation is $46,917 per person annually (approx. $180k total per couple) along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet restrictions (fish and one dog of approved breeds)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
