Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role as Full-time Flex Houseparents residing on-campus at Milton Hershey School to care for groups of 8–13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, medication administration, daily routines, transportation to activities, and spiritual/ developmental activities; initially nine days on, three off, with eventual placement in a dedicated student home; includes relocation to Hershey, PA and on-campus housing; requires two-person married couple team, ages 27+, GED or high school diploma, US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to commit to a smoke- and weapon-free campus; salary per person around $46,917 with total compensation near $180,000 per couple, plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage minimum for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- Interest in youth development and mentorship
