Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role focused on serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, leading devotions and Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent with a stable student-home assignment. Requires two married spouses, age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to drive student vans, physical ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. Relocation to Hershey, PA provided; includes housing, meals on duty, benefits, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
