Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist (two-person Flex Houseparent team) at Milton Hershey School: on-campus, full-time role residing in student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and mentorship, manage routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a steady houseparent assignment in the same student home. Relocation assistance provided; comprehensive benefits included. Requires a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid U.S. driver’s license, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Both spouses must submit individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
