Job Summary
Two-person Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Requires a legally married couple, each 27+; high school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license and ability to obtain vehicle-certification; experience with youth; relocation to Hershey, PA with relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
