Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of about 813 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students daily, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include salary per person around $46,917 (approximately $180,000 total per couple with housing and meals), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and relocation assistance. This is a two-person role for legally married couples aged 27 or older, with additional on-campus housing benefits and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement: two people must apply
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
