Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent roles on a university-affiliated residential campus. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and coordinating budgeting and reporting. The position begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle, with a pathway to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group in their own home. Must be a legally married couple, both spouses aged 27+, and able to meet on-campus living requirements; high school diploma or GED required. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; on-campus housing provided as part of compensation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED
- Combatting substances: smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
