Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and guide a group of approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same student group. Includes relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive benefits; requires two legally married spouses aged 27+ who will complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage and spousal eligibility (both spouses must be legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Relocation and paid training provided
- Full-time schedule with on-campus student homes
- Two-person role for couples
