Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School involve living on campus in student homes and providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving and coordinating activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like home environment. After an initial nine-on, three-off schedule, the role transitions to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Requires both spouses to apply individually and to be legally married for at least two years, with at least one spouse at 27 years or older. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
