Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA to reside in on-campus student homes and supervise 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, medication administration, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially, nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home. Benefits include base salary per person of $44,768 plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year minimum for marriage? (two-spouse role)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
