Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance, paid training, and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse eligibility: both spouses must complete individual applications
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Two-person role for couples
- Relocation to Hershey, PA is required
