Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School and provide care, supervision, and developmental support for 8–13 students in a home setting; responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a placed houseparent role living with the same group of students; compensation includes salary per person plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be legally married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism; role-model child/youth development

- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
