Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role with same student home. The position requires both spouses to apply, be legally married for at least two years, and meet age and licensing requirements; relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Married for at least two years (two-spouse requirement)
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to reside on-campus in student homes
- Ability to supervise and mentor youths
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limits (fish and one dog of approved breed)
- Two-person role for couples
- Complete individual employment applications for both spouses
