Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship of approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from initial nine-on/three-off duty cycles to a placed houseparent arrangement living with the same group of students. Requires relocation to Hershey, PA (with relocation assistance provided) and deployment as a two-person, fully on-site caregiving team with a focus on student wellness, academics, emotional and social development, and a structured family-like environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications
