Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role on a campus-based residential program for 8–13 students. Couples live in on-campus student homes, supervising daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, and engaging students in developmental and recreational activities. Responsibilities include budgeting, household reporting, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent living arrangement with the same group of students. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, with comprehensive benefits and paid training. Requires marriage for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, and a valid driver’s license. Salary per person is $44,768 with total couple compensation around $168,000, plus housing, meals, utilities, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage minimum
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Work as a two-person couple in a full-time role
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- Background suitable for on-campus housing and supervising 8–13 students
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Placed Houseparent after initial period
