Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications and ensuring student wellness, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. This role requires a legally married couple (at least two years), ages 27+, and relocation to Hershey, PA with on-site housing benefits; compensation includes salary per person plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
