Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role for married couples at Milton Hershey School. Partners reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Relocation assistance provided; compensation includes salary per person plus housing/benefits, totaling approximately $168,000 per couple.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
