Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a Placed Houseparent arrangement. Position includes relocation assistance and paid training; starting in Alliance, OH, with eventual placement in a shared student home. Requires a legally married couple (both spouses) and a high school diploma or GED, with driving eligibility and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year requirement for both spouses (two-person role)
- Legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
