Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and mentorship, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a work schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. They transition to a Placed Houseparent role living and working with the same student group in their own home. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
Additional Requirements
- Requires legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
