Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for a two-person, married-couple team living on campus at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and managing budget and reporting. Initially rotating through multiple student homes on a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with eventual placement in a dedicated student home. Requires on-campus living, a strong commitment to student development, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, valid driver’s license, and prior or demonstrated experience working with youth. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
