Job Summary
Two-person live-in role at Milton Hershey School as Flex Houseparents, providing daily supervision, guidance, and support for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The position follows a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule initially, with progression to a placed houseparent role living with the same students. Must be legally married for at least two years, both spouses age 27+, and hold a high school diploma or GED. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to lead students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
