Job Summary
Youth Development Specialist role for two married individuals serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students in on-campus homes, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, overseeing household routines and budgeting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same group of students. Requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and ability to drive student vans, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to live on campus and follow a 9-on/3-off schedule initially, with relocation assistance provided. This is a two-person, on-campus, full-time position in Hershey area with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Two-spouse, married for at least two years
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
