Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles for married couples to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The position begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to a placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation is provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement, paid time off, and paid training. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27 or older. Prior experience with youth is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, married couple must apply
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
