Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role based on-campus at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in student homes to provide care, supervision, and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and reporting. Initially schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; salary per person is $44,768 with total compensation around $168,000 per couple. Requires married, legally compliant spouses (both must complete separate applications), a high school diploma or GED, driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a drug- and alcohol-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
