Job Summary
Youth-focused, two-person on-campus caregiving role for 8–13 students in student homes. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading development and recreation, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially nine days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role in a single student home. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27+, and a high school diploma or GED. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; on-campus housing and meals provided during duty, plus insurance and retirement benefits. Candidates must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The role emphasizes a structured, family-like environment and a commitment to student success; both spouses must submit individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
