Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on Milton Hershey School campus to provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel visits, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and ensuring a structured, family-like environment that supports students’ academic, emotional, and social growth. The role transitions from initial nine-on/three-off duty to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-spouse team must complete individual employment applications
- Legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Willingness to live on campus in student homes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
